OOTD: Pyjama Pants To Work - What?!

Hey heyyyyyyy!
What I wore to work today, pretty slouchy and comfortable with some sportswear cool (I like to think haha!)
Jumper -  Topshop    Scarf - Vintage    Jacket - Levis Vintage    Pyjama Pants - River Island
Socks - Primark     Trainers - Nike JD Sports

In other news I am desperately trying trying to grow out my hair, hence why it looks so crazy, kind of like when Hannah from GIRLS goes crazy and cuts all her hair off, haha.

I want less this:
And more this:
But I fear I have a little while till my hair looks THAT good. By Summer though - finger crossed!

Hope everyone is well in the land of blogging :)

OOTD: Black & White Print Clash

This is an outfit I actually haven't worn out. DUMDUMDUMMMM!

It was just something I thought up and wanted to try out just to see if it looked good. The trousers I absolutely adore (though I'm scared they make my hips look wide?!). They are from Jaeger but I got them from a charity shop for about £3, which I am sure you can guess I was ridiculously happy about! I just found a similar pair on their website for £160 so I'm even happier now! The blazer is from Wallis and I think it's great, comfy but looks good enough for work and basically who doesn't like polkadots!

Anyway this was a hit or miss attempt at print clashing but within the monocrome trend. Usually I'm a bit obsessed with getting colour into my outfits so it was quite challenging for me to try and get the same amount of interest into my outfit without relying on colour.
The two prints side by side.
Blazer- Wallis £33    Body- Primark £6    Trousers- Jaeger (charity shop) £3    Wedges- H&M (old)    Belt- Primark £3    Necklaces- Topshop (old)
How were people's Easter weekends? I went to the Liechtenstein exhibition on Friday, which I highly recommend (even for those who 'don't get art!') and to the Up The Creek Comedy Club in Greenwich in the evening for a friend's birthday that was equally brilliant and hilarious. Saturday was filled with coffee drinking and sofa sitting, and wandering around a spookily deserted London. The rest of the weekend were the usual mix of family time and wayyyy too much chocolate :)

OOTD: Sparkly Jumper Workwear

Ahhhh it's Monday again, I swear they come around wayyyy too quickly :( I had a pretty lovely weekend, one of my besties was back from a holiday from India so I heard lots of amazing stories from her that made me very jealous! Butttt... I have booked my summer holiday- hooray :D Five girls, two weeks, one Ibiza! Going to be absolutely ridiculous and crazy and brilliant. Only have to wait 5 months haha!

Here's my outfit from work today, since it's still pretty chilly I'm still wearing big knits and the obligatory tights under leggings and an extra pair of socks just to keep warm! This is probably my favourite jumper at the moment, I got it in the after Christmas sales from Topshop and the gold thread running through it make rather special, I feel a bit like a unicorn or fairy or something! I decided to nip it in at the waist with a cheapy Primark belt just to give my body a bit of shape!
Jumper- Topshop £20 (was £45)    Belt- Primark £3    Leggings- Anywhere!                                  Chelsea Boots- Matalan £10 (were £20?)

The bow in my hair was an attempt to keep my hair under control and I think it did a pretty good job, especially since it's just a piece of cutoff material. Work is crazy busy at the moment too, all the lovely new collections for Spring and Summer are being delivered and are being put in store and online. Busy busy bee!

Anyone else have a favourite jumper for the wintery season? Any advice of warm but fashionable outfits I can wear to work?

What's in my bag?!

I see a lot of bloggers do this post and because I'm a nosy so-and-so they are usually one of my favourite posts to read! So I thought I'd better do one of my own bag, to try and make up for my own nosy nose-ness. Here we go!

This is my current work bag, though it does change every so often.

Diary    Pen    Mini notepaper    USB    Plasters    Paracetamol

Purse- Accessorize    Chewing Gum    Oyster card and train ticket holder- Paperchase    Tissues!    Primark Sunnies (in Topshop case haha)

Headphone (not sure where my iPod is!    Lip Balms- Boots & Figs & Rouge    Mirror    Nail Files- Ms. Manicure

So a pretty basic work bag really! Usually I have a few other make up bits and pieces thrown in and maybe a cereal bar/chocolate bar or two as well.

This week I am preparing for Bestival next weekend- SO EXCITED! My friends and I have booked a 15 man tipi in the boutique camping area (I refused to slum it in the regular camping I hate it that much!) We leave uber early Thursday morning and then get back Monday afternoon/evening. I absolutely loved Bestival last time, so I have high hopes for this year.
Expect lots of ridiculous photos on my return!

Hope you all have a lush week, let me know if any of you are heading Bestival way :D

OOTD: Am I an Art Student?

This outfit kind of reminds me of an art student, not sure why, I think it's the oversized shirt that does it. London was sweltering as usual today, but when I leave for work in the morning it's kinda cooler and I like to cover up but a cardigan is too hot. So this American Apparel shirt is pretty perfect.

Shirt- American Apparel    Dress- Topshop    Belt- Primark     Shoes- Topshop

Did my hair in this kinda weird quiff thing and it somehow stayed in all day.
Totally forgot I had this lace booties from Topshop I got a couple years ago. I realise these have a love/hate relationship with everyone, but I still like them haha.
Today was actually pretty good, as far as Monday's go. I think my fun sunny weekend probably helped ;)

OOTD: Working Woman

So I have just completed my first week at my internship, it has been very enjoyable and a little overwhelming, but I'm sure that's the same with any other job. Everyone dresses pretty casual there which is great since most of my outfits revolve around leggings, denim shorts and massive t-shirts! For example I started the week in a new shirt and have now ended it wearing leggings, a baggy t-shirt and my Vans!

Anyway this is what I wore one day this week. Tuesday I believe, so I was still feeling rather formal and probably trying to impress people!
Jumper- Tesco    Strap-top- Primark    Leggings- Topshop    Brogues- Topshop    Collar Necklace- Dorothy Perkins
I got this amazing collar necklace from Dorothy Perkins for a measly £1.70! It was reduced from about £6 to £2 I believe but with my student discount I got an extra 30p off! (Going to be so sad when my student discount finally runs out at the end of this month :'( )

And it goes perfectly with this amazing jumper from Tesco! Which is the perfect summer jumper, not too heavy and a nice salute to the ombre trend.
Do you guys have any good inspiration for work-wear? Or brought some supermarket lovelies?

Back With News!

Hello little bloggy-boos!

Sorry it's been so long since my last post- a whole week! But I have been a very busy bee, with lots of exciting things to share.

First of all it was my graduation last Wednesday which was really special (if a little stressful). I was in one of the morning ceremonies,  so I was up really early but it was worth it. Got to see all my course mates and say thank you to my favourite tutors. I'm just hoping my official graduation photos come out ok, I have a horrible feeling all my hair was tucked under my hat.

What I wore under my hugggge gown & hat.
Shirt & Skirt- Topshop    Shoes- H&M

Then the weekend just gone myself and my two besties decided to visit the other bestie, who lives up in Sheffield for the free Tramlines Festival. On Friday night we saw the amazing Aluna George at The Harley.
Top- Topshop    Shorts- Vintage Levis
On Saturday daytime we went to the Concourse Red Bull Stage and saw L-Vis 1990T. Williams and Julio Bashmore who were all equally brilliant.
Top- Primark, dip dyed myself    Shorts- Vintage Levis

L-Vis 1990
And on Saturday night we headed to The Yellow Arch Studios and pretty much danced till I thought my feet were going to fall off.

Sunday was a lazy day before we had to head home :( but we did manage to see a friend of a friend's boyfriend's (haha) band Summo at Tamper Coffee Bar. They are a great band and really lovely boys, I implore you to check them out.

Summo
I just added this photo cos I love it & love my friends. Look at how amazing they are!!
AND FINALLY! My last piece of news is that I have managed to get myself an internship at a company in London- YAY! I literally contacted them yesterday, had the interview today and got it! I start on Monday :) I am ridiculously excited. The company look uber cool and young, so pretty much perfect for me I think. I'll probably end up posting loads of 'work' outfits now, seeing as I won't be lazying around the house in my joggers, haha.

Anywho hope this update on my life has been interesting enough for you all! What have you all been up to in my week away?

Tie Dye, Dip Dye, Fun Dye

This weekend myself and some friends wanted to do something fun and this culminated in us deciding to do some tie dying. Little did we know what a long, dangerous (and sometimes boring) journey we had decided to take.

We headed off the Hobbycraft and brought 3 dyes in pastel pink, pastel blue and lilac for about £3.50 each. Next at Hannah's house we set up our work space in her bathroom, it was made up of 3 buckets, 2 measuring jugs, multiple elastic bands and a stick.
Amazing Work Space
We decided to do a mixture of dip dying and tie dying and set to work mixing dyes and elastic banding material before putting it in the buckets. And then we waiting for the dye to do it's thing...

The boring part was sitting there waiting for your stuff to dye, I guess if you are a more seasoned tie dyer you can probably leave your stuff to do it's thing. But us being newbies sat around the buckets tentatively probing the contents occasionally to see if our garbs had changed colour.

But at last after a couple hours we decided to bite the bullet and check out our handy work and to be honest we were really happy with our first attempts (apart from that one time in Year 7 when I made a tie dye cushion cover). Surprisingly the dip dye pieces came out a lot better but I think thats probably because we were trying to be a bit too adventurous with the tie dying. Here are some photos of our goodies (apart from one top I want to do again so it fulfils its true potential):
Both tops from Primark

Nice new pillow case

Best of a bad bunch on photos.

Can't really see the tie dye on this one but trust me it looks good!
Any of you guys done any tie dying? Or have I inspired you? haha

OOTD: Tie-Dye & Maxi

Crop- Red Rock £5    Maxi- Primark £12    Necklace- French Connection Sale £4

Just a quick outfit post. This is what I wore today to visit the library to pick up some books for my last ever uni assignment- woo! I love this maxi (I think it's because of the pleats!) but I haven't worn it much since I brought it, so I've trying to find different ways to style and I quite like it with my new crop. And I was just happy I was able to leave the flat today without a raincoat and umbrella!

Hope you are all having a good week :)

AWOL

Sorry for my absence again this week! It was the last week of uni before the Easter holidays, so I have been handing in assignments and having last minute meetings with my dissertation tutor! So I haven't really got much exciting to blog about...

I have a random outfit of what I wore on Friday night when the boyf and I went to a friends birthday night out. I brought the shirts at the last minute that day from Primark for £10, which I think is pretty decent as the beading on the collar is really cute. Oh and it's sleeveless too, so perfect for the upcoming spring/summer nights (hopefully!).

Shorts- Ragged Priest
Shirt- Primark
Cardigan- Dorothy Perkins
Shoes- Vans

But never fear I have an exciting blog post coming up later this week, involving something all girls love- SHOES!!! :D
