Sunday was absolutely glorious! And at the flat we went and brought a BBQ from Morrisons for 20 squid and lots of tasty stuff to eat and we were set (after we built BBQ haha).

Jumper -  Topshop    Scarf - Vintage    Jacket - Levis Vintage    Pyjama Pants - River Island
Socks - Primark     Trainers - Nike JD Sports

In other news I am desperately trying trying to grow out my hair, hence why it looks so crazy, kind of like when Hannah from GIRLS goes crazy and cuts all her hair off, haha.

I want less this:
And more this:
But I fear I have a little while till my hair looks THAT good. By Summer though - finger crossed!

Hope everyone is well in the land of blogging :)

OOTD: Birthday Business in Brighton!

A couple weekends a go we headed down to Brighton to help our friend Sarah celebrate her 24th birthday. I love going to Brighton it's always really fun and if you go to the non-commercial clubs (I'm looking at you Oceana!) then you might be surprised at how good the independent clubs are.

For dinner we went to Donatello's that is an ace Italian restaurant that's really cheap too, I had tagliatelle with spinach and bacon in an amazing sauce. I'm not usually a pasta person, but this was so gooooooooood. After we went to our fave bar that we ALWAYS go to, called The Mesmerist, it's like a 1940s bar with the best cocktails. And then we went to a club called The Tube which is right on the seafront and under the arches- great success!
I don't usually shop at Wallis, but I really like this shirt, it's like a sheer material with a gold paisley print on it. It's pretty loose fitting which looks good leggings/jeans etc, but I tied a knot in the front so you could see my sparkly shorts :P

Has anyone else been out in Brighton? Where do you like to go? I'd love to try new places where I'm there next :D

OOTD: Space Cat & Cycling Shorts

Bonjourno, mon petit freres!
How are we all doing? Embracing this glorious weather I hope! I have been, even if it has just been sitting in my garden attempting to soak up some rays!

This is what I decided to wear today, pretty casual and got my some strange looks when I went into Stevenage to get a birthday present for a friend (I don't think they 'get' space cats in Stevenage). I decided to wear my platform converse sneakers, since now it's not all wet and rainy they will stay looking fresh and clean. Now don't get me wrong I love these shoes like they were my real life darling baby (since it took me sooooo long to find the perfect pair and I was so chuffed when I got them for less than half price in the sales) but mannnn after a few hours walking they don't half start to bite at my upper heels. Any other fellow platform sneaker wearers have any remedies? Should I lace them tighter or looser or is there someway to break in the backs of them, without ruining them of course!

And they do make my feet look superrr long too but I can deal with that ;)

Oh I cut the collar off my space cat tshirt cos for some reason I hate them being all up in my neck, go figure?!

I think this summer is shaping up to be a good one. Fingers crossed :)

OOTD: Dare To Bare (Legs!)

I actually had a mini party in my pants this morning when I saw how sunny it was and decided TODAY WAS THE DAY to get my legs out for the first time this year! I've seen a few other bloggers on their blogs and instagram daring to bare their legs in the last week or so but I wasn't brave enough until today and I'm so glad I have now. Wearing my black tights was making my wardrobe seem about 10 times more wintery than it is, so not wearing tights has given me so many more outfit ideas :)

Once I had stopped staring out of my window and thanking the sun gods,  I immediately started rifling through my wardrobe to find a suitable dress. I decided on my panther skater dress from Topshop because 1. I haven't worn it in ages and 2. I didn't want to scare the sun away by whacking out my most summery sun dress!

had to pair it all with my favourite mint pieces at the moment, I might have over-worn the cardigan already haha, but they matched the panther's eyes and I bloody love ankle socks, so it's allllll good.
Dress- Topshop £25ish?    Cardigan- Vintage £6    Socks- Topshop £3.50    Vans- American Outlet Store $25/£45    Scarf- Vintage £4
I also had my first iced coffee of the year, which was an absolute dream! And then feasted on strawberries sprinkled with icing sugar and a green tea. Not too shabby, if I do say so myself.
nomnomnom

Has anyone else been as excited as me to bare their legs for the first time this year?
(please someone say yes!)

OOTD: Spring Chick Vs. Grunge Goth

Just a quick little post for you guys showing you how I styled my most recent purchases, which you can read about in this post here. I really wanted to wear some colour because spring was taking sooooooo long to come around. It seems to have arrived now and I like to think this outfit had something do with that ;)

I also enjoy how cute my spring colours are on top and how grungy and dark my bottom half is, I just love my creepers too much and when summer comes around they are too hot to wear so I'm getting as much out of them now as possible! I can't believe I've had them for 3 years either! Literally the best wearing pair of shoes I've owned, they look like I got them out of the box yesterday.

What do you think of my outfit mash up? Are you as insanely happy as me that spring has turned up FINALLY?!

OOTD: Mini Mint Shopping Trip

A pretty simple Sunday outfit for you guys today! I wore it for a quick shopping jaunt with mumma b, but since I'm on an extreme budget, due to saving for holiday and moving out, I couldn't actually afford to buy anything :'(

However mum brought me two little treats, some mint coloured goodies :) Topshop frilly ankle socks and the new concrete textured nail varnish from Barry M in mint coloured Ridley Road.

Me looking very suspiciously into the mirror haha!

Here's what my lovely mumma brought me- Ankle Socks- Topshop £3.50    Nail Varnish- Barry M Ridley Road £3.99

Looking forward to trying out my new nail varnish tonight :) and styling my new sockies. I'll probably post an outfit with them it ;)

Hope everyone has had lovely weekends too!

OOTD: Sparkly Jumper Workwear

Ahhhh it's Monday again, I swear they come around wayyyy too quickly :( I had a pretty lovely weekend, one of my besties was back from a holiday from India so I heard lots of amazing stories from her that made me very jealous! Butttt... I have booked my summer holiday- hooray :D Five girls, two weeks, one Ibiza! Going to be absolutely ridiculous and crazy and brilliant. Only have to wait 5 months haha!

Here's my outfit from work today, since it's still pretty chilly I'm still wearing big knits and the obligatory tights under leggings and an extra pair of socks just to keep warm! This is probably my favourite jumper at the moment, I got it in the after Christmas sales from Topshop and the gold thread running through it make rather special, I feel a bit like a unicorn or fairy or something! I decided to nip it in at the waist with a cheapy Primark belt just to give my body a bit of shape!
Jumper- Topshop £20 (was £45)    Belt- Primark £3    Leggings- Anywhere!                                  Chelsea Boots- Matalan £10 (were £20?)

The bow in my hair was an attempt to keep my hair under control and I think it did a pretty good job, especially since it's just a piece of cutoff material. Work is crazy busy at the moment too, all the lovely new collections for Spring and Summer are being delivered and are being put in store and online. Busy busy bee!

Anyone else have a favourite jumper for the wintery season? Any advice of warm but fashionable outfits I can wear to work?

OOTD: Nottingham Night Out

A couple weeks ago me and some friends went up to Nottingham to help celebrate one of their little sister's 20th birthday.

On the way up we stopped off at OK Diner on the A1 and I had the most amazing peanut butter and chocolate milkshake, it was insanely delicious. If you ever need a pitstop driving on the A1 then I highly recommend it.
While in Nottingham I did a tiny bit of shopping at local vintage/charity shop, where I got a quilted coat originally from River Island for £8!!! And the crazy 80's shirt I am wearing for £4.
It was a really fun night, including running around the club raging, lots of crazy dancing and general drunk antics! RL Grime was playing and was ridiculously good, hence the dancing (which hopefully burned off all the alcohol calories haha).

Shirt- Charity/Vintage Shop £4    CropTop- Sparkle & Fade £16    Shorts- Ragged Priest £20ish    Bag- Vintage £4   Creepers- Underground £89
My new friend ;)
Peter the cat who just seemed to like living at their house even though it didn't really live there!

Two posts in one week I must be having a very good week! I'll try to keep up the good work :P

OOTD: leather & flatforms

This is an outfit I wore to the pub the other evening, pretty simple really! I got the leather jacket for Christmas which I was really chuffed about :) Well actually I got it in the Boxing Day sales after Christmas because I couldn't decide on a leather jacket before Christmas! But it was lucky really since it was half the price in the sales, so better for the 'rents :P

And I'm wearing jeans! Who would have thunk it, I hardly ever ever wear jeans, but this pair from New Look are my new favourites, not that I had a pair of favourite jeans before...

Oh and the flatform converses were from the Boxing Day sales too, so glad I didn't buy a pair before, otherwise I would have spent double on them.

Leather Jacket- Topshop Boutique £90 (down from £180)    Shirt- Urban Outfitters (old)    Jeans- New Look £19.99(I think they are on sale atm)    Flatform Converse- Schuh £16 (down from £32)
iPhone Case- ebay £5 (I think)

Just another view of the shoes, yum.

That's about it at the moment! Been really bust at work, but hopefully I can post some work outfits up soon (they have really good full length mirrors, perfect for outfit shots haha).

OOTD: Pastel Checks & Fur

This is what I wore last Saturday I think, so a bit late, but better late than never! And I really liked this outfit :D

I did a bit of charity shopping that Saturday and you can see the amazeball bag I got for £3!!! I also got a pair of Jaeger trousers (for £3 too!) that I'm hoping to feature in the blog soon, just need to work out how to style them!

On Saturday night I went and watched fireworks (v.late I know!) with my parents and my sister and her boyfriend, and then we went for indian and I ate wayyyyy too much haha! Tasty though.

Probably the best bag I have or will own & only £3!!!

Final parting shot ;)

So this blog was short and sweet wasn't it! Been super busy at work, with lots of changes going on, but good ones :) I'm off to a bar in London called the Moustache Bar on Saturday, so I should have a little 'going out' outfit for you guys :)

Hope you have all had great weeks. Any fun plans for the weekend?

OOTD: Big Night Out!

On Saturday it was one of my best friends Becca's 24th Birthday Night Out, we were all quite excited as every year for her birthday we always seem to end up going to one of our old pre-university haunts, and this year was no exception. The nearby town Hertford was our destination, when we were 18 we all used to head there on a Thursday night, have a wicked time and then have to go to school horribly hungover on Friday!

Now we are older we have upgraded to Saturday nights (over 21's only!) and it was nice to be out without lots of young'uns and there wasn't the chance an 18 year old might try and chat you up!

Here's what I wore:
Top- Next (old)    Bralet- Marks & Spencers (old)    Skirt- Ebay £11.99    Socks- Topshop £3.50    Creepers- Underground £89

We tied up my top into a crop top because tucked in it kept bulging out and annoying me so much, thanks to Hannah for helping me with this genius idea!

Standard going out makeup for me- Flicks on the eyelids, silver eyeliner around the corners and lashings of black mascara!
I used Collection 2000 Cream Puff Lip Colour on my lips, I love it so much. I swear I use it on every night out I go on. It just lasts so long and I have a tiny obsession with things looking matte haha!
The Birthday Girl and Me!

Becca The Birthday Girl, Me and Kay

We had a hilarious night and it was topped off by a trip to our old favourite kebab shop Mid-West for some dirty food!

Hope you all had fab weekends (and start to the week!)
